At the thought of the name Alex Perry, I immediately imagine high-fashion, style, class and glamour. For those of you who are unaware, Alex Perry is one of Australia’s leading fashion designers, and is known for producing quality, stylish pieces for some of the world’s most renowned celebrities and stylish women. Everything Perry embodies in his fashion brand is evident in his hotel. From the dark wallpaper and artwork to the gold finishes and unique amenities, this is the most stylish hotel I’ve had the pleasure of staying in.
Alex says, “I’m fashioning at apartment like I would a couture garment”. His idea is completely evident throughout every little touch in this hotel – have a look for yourself:
I was fortunate enough to stay in the spacious one bedroom executive suite that honestly had everything you could possibly need and more. The room comprises a full kitchen, sleek bathroom, large living area, bedroom big enough for two people and a large balcony facing over the city. I honestly was shocked to see a hotel room/apartment so spacious that also includes a large kitchen space! I was taken around to various rooms in the hotel, and every room is complete with a kitchen, spacious living area and comfy bedroom. No matter what room you choose to stay in, you’ll be living in style, that’s for sure! If you’re staying in Brisbane with more than two people, two bedroom apartments are on offer complete with two bathrooms.
I really love how unique the Alex Perry apartments are; it’s not often you stay in a hotel room with dark walls, but they really can pull them off with the interior decorations! The space felt so cosy and relaxing that we found it hard to leave. In the end, as it was so rainy, we grabbed some sushi, wine and cheese and chilled out with a movie on Foxtel!
Just when I thought the hotel was fabulous, it reached its peak when I found the executive suites are complete with GHD straighteners and hair dryers, platinum Foxtel, an in room laundry and garment steamer. Not only do these touches allow you to feel at home, but they offer a spot of luxury for the fashion conscious traveler as well as the necessities for businessmen and women alike. The wifi is fast and the kitchen offers everything you could possibly need for a night in – what more could you want?! I just loved these classic Alex Perry high-fashion amenities. I have to also mention that parking is provided to guests, which is extremely helpful for those taking a quick staycation from a nearby city or are renting a car.

As much as I love the rain, on this one occasion, I was absolutely devastated by the crazy downpour that hit Brisbane over the two days I stayed here. How tempting does their rooftop pool look not only during the day but at night overlooking the lit up city of Brisbane? The rooftop is extremely spacious, providing the ultimate BBQ and drink spot for guests. At least we could get up in the gym and work on our fitness! The gym had just enough equipment to have a good workout early in the morning.

On a day when cyclonic weather has reached Brisbane, what better place to have breakfast than a restaurant in the hotel itself!? A sleek breakfast spot turned restaurant at night, Delfina’s even delivers to your room providing the ultimate breakfast in bed! The food was quite good, though there are many cafes in the area I want to try this weekend in Brisbane, that’s for sure! I had the eggs Benedict smothered in hollandaise and runny eggs – yum!
Located in Fortitude Valley, the hotel and apartments are still extremely close to Brisbane’s CBD, New Farm, Newstead and Bowen Hills. If you’re not a fan of staying right in the busy CBD and want to see more of what Brisbane has to offer, then this location is perfect for you.
Within walking distance, you can reach many trendy and high end boutiques, the popular James St markets and some of Brisbane’s hottest food spots! Just down the road, you’ll find Chester St Bakery, offering a crazy selection of mouthwatering cakes and desserts. Keep walking another five minutes, and you’ll find yourself in the heart of James St, surrounded by cute boutiques and quality food options. Further along, you can reach Winn Lane, which is quite a popular stop for locals and visitors alike. Here you can grab a coffee and shop around the quaint stores such as Sunday Social. If you’re in Brisbane to party, then staying in Fortitude Valley is where you’ll want to be – but to be honest, there is so much else to see just in this area alone!

I was welcomed as a guest to the Alex Perry Hotel, although as always, opinions are my own!
